The Negative
My personal opinion is that the colour scheme isn't that modern, it does remind me of older Web sites. The coding of the web site is incredibly bad, but the web site works.
The Positive
It is a clear web site, easy to navigate.

The site seemed to take a little longer than most to load. I'm not a huge fan of the colour scheme. It seems to be quite dull. I went to the about page only to see no link back to the home page, and the horizontal menu wasn't working for me in Opera.
The Positive
I do think it has a lot of potential. The structure is generally quite solid and there seems to be plenty of useful information.

Too cluttered. Stay away from animated gifs. Search engines read text not images. Don't really like the color theme. You have too much going on, need to work the things in together.

The moving images are very distracting, even though they might fit with the theme of the site. Hard to navigate; theme is inconsistent when you navigate through the site.

My first few seconds looking all of my attention was on the colors and the movement - it is very distracting. If your ads are moving they will likely take away from the focus or just annoy viewers.

The scattering sparkle graphics are pretty, as well as the colors.

Yeesh! This is a confusing amalgam of loud, unconnected designs. Completely confusing and off-putting. The number of images (especially the animated gifs) make the site slow to load, and I am on a cable modem. Broken links in the navigation bar make this a site that needs a lot of work. One simple image that tells the story is all that is needed here. Too many choices on the nav bar make decisions difficult.

Too much going on. The animations are all over the top and the color scheme doesn't include enough colors. There is hardly any contrast on this page.

You have all the content you need, even if its not looking perfect. You also have most of the structure set up which is very important to the success of the site.

Maybe it is my scientific nature, but having the word science written on this page just sickens me. The content is horrible. Maybe dumb people will like the site. I might jsut not be your target audience. The colors are painful and the flashing stars hurt my eyes.

A lot is wrong with this. The layout: things just look like they're slapped on there without any regard - especially the right column with the ads and the blockyness of it. The header and the logo portion just don't mix very well. The color theme, in certain areas its hard to read the text (middle content area). The coding needs big improvements, there's a *ton* of unnecessary font style's in there. Put those in a class and link to an external CSS file.

A good informative content oriented website.
